Justin Garrett - Co-owner
Justin has overall responsibility for ensuring guests' holiday experiences are everything they expect. This includes:
- Skiing and ski-touring guiding
- Private Ski Tuition
- Organising guest services such as ski hire, ski lessons, and
- Serving beers and making pizzas!
Justin is an Australian and has been coming to Slovakia with his now wife Adriana since 2010. Justin has skied all over the world including Slovakia, France, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
He Is a qualified Level 1 Alpine Ski Instructor (APSI).
Adriana Garrett - Co-owner
Adriana keeps the Jasna Adventures business running and ensures all our local services are sorted for guests. This includes:
- Supporting guests with local needs
- Guiding guests around the resort
- Organising local services for guests
- Managing the office and business operations
Adriana grew up surrounded by the mountains in Dolny Kubin, just 45mins drive from Jasna.
Growing up with a local ski resort in town, she learnt to ski as a child, and since then has skied in France, Japan, and of course Slovakia.
The Jasna Adventures story
Jasna Adventures was conceived in 2010, on the day Adriana took Justin to Jasna for a one day ski trip during a visit to Slovakia from our home at the time in Singapore. The ski terrain, forest and alpine setting, and being unknown to most people outside of the area (not to mention the great value for money) make it an ideal place to set up a business to offer Brits an alternative to skiing the Alps.
The business and chalet opened it's doors to our firsts guests in December 2016, and since then Jasna Adventures has operated every winter and summer season. Jasna Advenures consists of:
- the travel company, organising end-to end ground services for guests
- the Dragon's Lair ski chalet, which is owned and operated solely by Jasna Adventures, and
- Bar Fakt! Apres Ski Bar and Pizzeria, which is situated at the chalet, serving guests and walk-in customers.
The original concept was to create a guest experience centred around a custom designed ski chalet, that combined the best experiences from our own snow holidays all over the world - to date guest feedback suggests that concept has come to fruition.
Jasna Adventures is a family business, and with two young boys of their own, Adriana and Justin understand the trials and tribulations - and the fun and rewards - of holidays with kids.
Adriana and Justin have been fortunate enough to have skied around the world. They met on a ski trip to Japan whilst living in Hong Kong, and were married in 2011 in Dolny Kubin. They live locally just below Jasna, where their two boys ski and train throughout the winter. Being on the ground full time, and complemented with seasonnaires, mostly from the UK, they ensure your holiday experience is everything you expect.
